18 Months

One year and 6 months old! Hard to believe that time really does go by so fast. My vocabulary has increased dramatically, my doctor says I am very advanced. I now can also say: No No No, No, Flower, Shower, Pillow, Drink, Crib, Boop, Booty Booty Booty, My Kitty, Hi Dada, Its the Ball, Remote (mote), Pretty, Princess, Giraffe (haffe), Fish (Bish), Duck, Minnie (Milnnie), Mickey, Daisy (Daiz), Goofy(Goo), Donald (Don), Kiss, Wheres the...., Close, On, Diaper (Biaper), Bye Bye, Ethan, Kaci, Chase, Slide, Poop, Potty, Hands, Feet, Beans, and Cheese, Pat-A-Cake (Patty). I can point to most any thing in my books if you ask me and I can do the whole Pat-A-Cake by myself. I can Quack Quack for duck and Ruff for Puppy and sing my simple pony song for pony, GRRRR for Tiger or Lion. I like to ride golf carts, four wheelers and jeeps. My hair has finally began to start growing. I have precious curls behind my ears and on the back of my head. Before I started saying "Bite" I called it "Mnoe" for some reason and when I want to listen to the radio on the car I say "Doe". My favorite is Sugarland. I like to watch football and I recognize the OU sign everywhere, I can say OU and do an OU cheer. I like to hug my stuffed animals and say "Aw Oh Awh", it is so sweet. One of the sweetest things I do is hold your hand and rub your fingernail and suck my thumb at the same time. I have become a little trickster, whether I sneak up behind you and try to scare you or run from you or when you try to get me dressed I'll give you a hand or foot and then hurry and take it away. Still not a big fan of eating, it is my main problem area, well that and throwing up. I have discovered the back rub and I love it, I just say "Back Back Back" and lay on my stomach when I am ready for one. I like to pick up a bunch of clothes or several stuffed animals and try to walk around with as much as I can carry. I love to walk in Mama's shoes. Now when Dada gets home from work I run and get a toy or two to show him. It was my Goofy for several days, now it seems to be just what ever I grab. Some things I enjoy doing are dancing, climbing, galloping, carrying my purse, playing with friends, and putting my animals night night with a napkin or blanket. I have started to mind a little bit better and I know what time out is and that I do not wish to sit there. I also know how to fake cry and squint my eyes, I will peek out to see if you are watching me closely. I absolutely hate the Doctors office, I scream before they even touch me and last time I threw up everywhere. My Doc said that it is self-induced, some kiddos hold their breath and some make themselves gag....like me. We took my first trip to the Zoo on my 1 1/2 B-Day, I loved all of the animals. I just love kisses and big hugs, I know how to squeeze real tight and grunt. I have the most exaggerated facial expressions they have ever seen, I am the cutest thing ever!!!

15 Months

Wow, how time flies, 15 Months Old! It seems like yesterday in May I was turning one, now three months later it's August. I am walking, started all by myself at about 13 Months old. Everyone said it was going to be hard to keep up with me, Mommy and Daddy thought it couldn't be that much harder than the speed crawler I was, but it sure is. Of course I am into everything that I know I shouldn't be into. Sometimes I just like to see them squirm, like when I pretend to eat stuff off the floor and stand on the couch until they get right up to me, then I kick my legs up and sit down like they asked. And those Kitty's (Titty's as I like to call them) do not stand a chance, I can find them anywhere they try to hide from me. I am finally getting some more teeth, jaw teeth also. I am talking very clear and saying many words, some of them are; Lexi (Xi), Tree, Pool, Puppy, Baby, Outside (side), More and Yes. I run to Daddy when he gets home from work yelling "Dada Dada Dada" and I scream when he tries to give Mommy a kiss. I like belly buttons and try to say it in the cutest way. I can say "Tickle Tickle Tickle" and "Where did it go" (Wheredigo) with my hands up in the air. I pace the floor and jabber on my cell phone, like an adult. I am learning my colors and doing really well with the basics red, blue, yellow, and green. I took my first airplane ride to Denver/Cheyenne and had a blast. Although my first plane ride out of Dallas was a disaster, I cried, screamed, kicked, grabbed people, had dirty diaper, threw things and would not sleep. Thankfully, on the plain ride home I was a perfect Angel. I am so cute when I open my mouth as wide as it will go and when I snap my fingers. It is fun to snap my fingers and dance at the same time, I shake my booty. Sometimes I growl and say "Mama" in a growl, I can say "Moo" for Moo Cow and smack my lips like a fish. I love to swim in my pool and want to go out there every morning when Mama opens the blinds. I can hold up my finger when you ask me how old I am for the #1. July 14th they put up my swing for good, doesn't bother me much though, just means I get to sleep with them all of the time. Haha, I am spoiled! I will tell you "Night Night" when I am ready and I want to climb to the top of the stairs by myself. I have had a couple of Ouie's, I can say "Ouie" and get you to kiss it too. I especially like to have books read to me all of the time, I love the flip up books with animals the best.

1 Year Old!

I am a real Princess! I had the best 1st Birthday Princess Party! I really loved seeing all of my family and getting to eat cake (kind of) and open presents, especially my big Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I also got to go to Chuck-E-Cheese, now that was fun too. I loved the rides, there was this big horse that was my favorite. I still like you to hold my hands and teach me to walk, if you try to let go I just start flapping my hand to let you know I am not quite ready for that. I hold everything up to my ear and talk on it like a telephone and sometimes, actually quite often, I scream very loudly and think it is oh so funny. This month I went to the horse races and loved to watch the horsies, Daddy took me down really close to them. I thought it was funny when they made a noise. On the 4th I said "more", on May 8th (my Birthday) I pointed at something I wanted (a ride at Chuck's), and on the 14th I said "Boo". Mommy and I took a rode trip to Houston to meet my new BFF Taylor, I like to love on her, she is just a bit bigger than my baby dolls. Her and I had a lot of fun, we went to the park and went shopping...of course. I also introduced her to Mickey Mouse, I am sure one day soon she will love him as much as I do. This month I have tried many new things I like to eat; yogurt, mashed potatoes, bread, cottage cheese, chicken fingers, lemons, refried beans, avocados, pickles. I can stand very well by myself and only need one hand to help me walk now towards the end of this month. I like to play in the sand at the lake and ride in the boat, actually I sleep on the boat rides. This month I tried to sleep in my crib for the first time on the 18th, not a fan. So I like to push cars around, scrape up my knees and toes by crawling on cement, and chase June bugs, hmm maybe a little tomboy in this little princess. I am very big on giving hugs and kisses, especially love pats. Although I am very independent and strong willed, I am sweet as candy!!

11 Months

I am almost the big 1! I like to make a lot of noise "lodi lodi lodi" "dodi dodi dodi" and I laugh out loud all of the time. I am learning to walk (with help), I am a real high stepper on my tip toes. I had my first real bite of big people food on the April the 6th, a banana, it was okay. On the 10th I said "night night" when it was time for bed. On the 21st I think I am finally a big big girl and climbed up on the couch all by myself. It is a lot of fun up there, I never knew what I was missing! I like to touch everything and say "uh" "uh" "uh" to get you to take me to it. I like to sit by myself and read my books and also bounce up and down on my knees. All the grown-ups think it must hurt on the hard floor, but not me. I can take off my socks and I try to look under the door if it is closed. I always want to go outside, I have some little girl neighbors that like to play with me. What fun I have throwing papers everywhere in the office, I work very hard to make a huge mess in there. Mommy can finally put a clip bow on top of my head, although there is only a few strands of hair up there. When I suck my thumb I cross my first two fingers, it is precious. I am very very smart and if asked to go and get something and bring it to you.....I can. I also love the Disney store at the mall, I want everything in that place!!!

10 Months

Ten Months, how time flies! This month, even though it was March and in Texas, I saw my first snow. My cute little sound is "Yea Yea Yea" and I can say "Nana", "Gaga", and "Papa". Now I have been getting my pictures taken every month since birth, but this month I've decided to be very ornery when they are trying to take it. It is so funny, the picture lady even told Mommy my teachers are probably going to have a hard time with me trying to get me to sit still in my chair. Hahaha! On the 13th I learned how to feed my babydoll her bottle. Sometimes I like to borrow hers to chew on though. I really like my cousin Ethan, he is fun to play with, I really like to try and kiss him all of the time. On the 26th I starting playing catch, I can throw the ball and catch it. I have not been talking much this month, maybe next month. On the 31st I almost ate a may fly, looked like the cats had gotten a hold of it and I found it. But, Mama spotted me just in time and I handed it right to her. This month I am mimicking Dada and Mama, laughing, chewing, and lying in the same position as them on the floor. I especially like to crawl over my Daddy, back and forth and back and forth. I like to give hugs and love pats and still want lots of kisses. You will know when I want a kiss I will just lift my head and hmmmm. I know where your eyes, nose, mouth, hair, and working on ears are. Sometimes I try to put on my diaper and take off my shirt. I like to point, look out the front window at trees and kids, and push buttons on TV's and all other electronics. I can make my eyebrows look mean, but I really think it is funny. I am just a little bundle of sunshine!

9 Months

Well, I have been here for nine months and I was in Mama's tummy for nine months. They call me their Precious Perfect Pretty Princess. All the "P" words! I am their sweet Valentine this month. On February 1st, right before my 9 month birthday I started to crawl, I have been rocking on my hands and knees for so long, they just thought I'd probably skip the crawling and go straight to walking. I did start walking forward in my walker on the 18th, up until now I could only go backwards. On the 9th, 15th, and 25th of this month my next three teeth came in. I now have 6 and I am the cutest thing ever! I love to go for walks and go to the park and swing. I can now say "Eye", "Bye Bye", "Baby", "Apple", "Bath"and "Book". I try to say "Hello", "I Love You", and "Kitty Cat". I am a speed crawler, they think I may never walk, just run everywhere. I like to go fast! Especially when I am chasing the cats. If you ask me if I'm ornery, I can give you a face that could be the definition of it. I can now play Pat-A-Cake by myself, pat my own mouth to make noises with the back of my hand, chases Mommy and Daddy around the kitchen in my walker, read to myself, and try to put my socks and shoes on......try. I like to kiss everything and get into everything. Even when they tell me "No" (and I know what it means) I will try to do it while looking out of the corner of my eye. I am pretty sneaky, for some reason they cannot help but laugh. My cute little noise this month is "bthda bthda bthda". Mommy has tried to give me some baby food with lumps in it and it just makes me gag. I am a busy busy girl always working with my toys and I like to get my hands washed in the sink. I am just getting so big, so fast!

8 Months

Happy 2008! I will be turning the big 1 year old this year! Big girl! On January 11th, I started to wave and give 5. The very next day I , out of no where, I started to play Peek-A-Boo all by myself (covering and uncovering my own face). I think we played it all day long. On the 21st my first tooth on the top came through, it is my 3rd tooth and it's on the left second one over. I may just be a snaggletooth until the others poke through. They are close! The 23rd I tried to say "Dada" and the 26th I officially said it. The Doc said I would say "Dada and Mama" before I knew what they meant.......but I know exactly what they mean! I may be trying to walk, I pulled up to the recliner today on the 24th. I am very smart, I know how to turn on all of my toy's, move mama's hand off of me when I do not want it there, point to my baby's bow, and can say "Hi". I scoot around on my back and the top of my head to get to where I need to go. I have also become a great little mimick, they just think it is the cutest thing. I like Mickey Mouse.........a lot!
I try to get Mama and Dada, like to play with my toy balls, can do splits and hurkey's, and roll my tongue to make different noises. There also has been a few early signs of temper tantrums, hopefully they will disappear, at least that is what my Mommy and Daddy are hoping for. I am still a sweet little princess though!

7 Months

Seven months, more than 1/2 of a year old. And guess what, my first tooth came in on the 3rd, I am almost at 7 months, it is on my bottom middle right side. Six days later the other bottom middle one came through on the left. I am so cute! This is the month of Christmas and I can't wait to see what Santa Clause brings me. At least I don't have to ask for my two front teeth now! I love my babydoll and I can show you where her eyes are. I like mama's jewelry and I sent a beaded bracelet flying into pieces all over the doctor's office floor when I pulled on it. Oops! I can pull hair, clap, dance, pat, lick, get on hands and knees, smack my lips. spit my food, and turn head from side to side. I demand attention and will do anything to get yours, I especially like to smile big at everyone I meet. My stomach muscles are very strong when I sit up from lying down without any help. I love to bouncy bouncy bouncy and kiss my baby. My two favorite things to do!

6 Months

A half of a whole year! Wow, I am a big girl! This month there are many new things going on in my life. I start solid foods and water to drink. I was not really in to it at first, but towards the end of the month I am finally starting to go for it, I really like the water in my sippy cup. I got sick for the first time on Thanksgiving, the 22nd, an ear infection. I said "Mama" on November 27th, she sure is ecstatic. I have also learned the famous I drop and Mommy or Daddy picks up game, it is so much fun. I just laugh and laugh, they are so gullible. On the 30th I kissed Mommy for the first time, twice. What a sweetheart I am, although I growl sometimes! I can roll anywhere I want to go and I am starting to push up on my elbows. I know what kitty cat means and keep my eye on that Gracie and Gunner. On day I will get to pull their hair.....I can't wait! I am also sitting up alone now and I love to play with little tags on everything. What a big month this has been!

1/2 Year Birthday!

5 Months

On my five month birthday I started really talking, "ba ba ba ba". I have also rolled from my back onto my tummy. Although I don't stay there for long, still not a big fan of tummy time. I do like to play in the floor with all of my toys. I especially like when they smell my feet and say "Shew Wee". I have become a little pincher and I know how to whine......yep already. I am trying to sit up and I kick my feet when I am happy or open my arms wide. I also know my name "Alexi", but if I do not recognize you I may just cry. I can also press my lips together and blow. I love to look at your shirts, especially if there is something on it that catches my eye. This month will be my first Halloween, I am going to be Snow White and take Grumpy along with me trick or treating with Kaci. How fun! Maybe next year I can eat some candy!

4 Months

This month I have found my toes and they sure taste yummy! Not only do I love to suck on my toes, I want to put anything and everything in my mouth. I can grab and reach for my toys and I like to laugh at myself in the mirror. I am a big girl and want to stand all of the time, but please hold me up. Some fun games I enjoy are Peek-A-Boo, get you, and splashing in the bath. Mommy and Daddy read books to me and I like it, it is really making me smarter. I have a cute little freckle on the back of my left ankle and a little red mark on the back of my head.. I get so many kisses all of the time. They sure do love me!

3 Months

This has been a big month for us! I laughed out loud for the first time at Kaci on August 15th. I have been sucking my fingers and drooling and on the 23rd I finally found my thumb. It is my left one I prefer......yum! Mommy finally let someone feed me on the 30th, Daddy of course. He did a great job! I do not like to be put on my tummy, I can just roll over to my back if you try it. I have discovered how to blow bubbles and stick out my tongue. They call me "Thumbelina" since I suck my little thumb all of the time. I can kick my feet and move them where I want. I do not enjoy being alone and like to have someone sit me upright all of the time. This month I am holding my hands together like a little sweetheart. I am a sweetie!

2 Months

Two whole months! I have the biggest blue eyes! When they call me a "pretty girl" I just smile and grin. I have this side smirk that is so cute. Wonder if I will be Ornery? This month on July 6th was my first out of town trip, we went to the lake. I stayed inside mostly, it was too hot. At the end of the month I held onto my first toy, it was a little phone. I am sure one day I will love to talk on the phone. This month we found out about the Laryngomalacia and reflux, oh and my eyes have been a bit matted due to a blocked tear duct. But, other than that I am a healthy little princess and know they will take good care of me. I am really starting to talk and coo, I just smile all of the time. I love to sleep in my swing too.

1 Month

Wow, my first month here! What a long journey it has been to finally arrive. When Mommy and Daddy first saw me I was just a little peanut inside Mommy's belly(6 weeks and 4 days). Now look at me! After 4 days in the Hospital I was ready to come home. I love being at home! Gracie and Gunner have not figured me out yet. This month has been an obstacle for me to gain weight. But, I am finally on the up and up. My umbilical cord fell off on Wednesday, May 16th and my first sponge bath at home was on Thursday, May 17th. It was okay, I am sure I will enjoy it much more when I can splash Mommy and Daddy. This month I am turning my head and looking around, very alert, and I can follow objects very well. I hold onto my thumbs all of the time and suck on my fists. Wonder if I will be a thumb sucker? I can also smile, the nurse said it was gas, but we know it is a smile. I try to hold my own paci with my dainty little fingers and I already have things I am trying to say. What a big girl! I am the most loved baby in the world! I just know it! Mommy and Daddy Thank God every day for me, I am their miracle!
